Well how exciting, we have just had Sofie Formica and her crew filming in the shop!
Great South East are doing a segment on the historic buildings and business in the Top of Town.
The Top of Town is a stretch of Brisbane Street in Ipswich that has many heritage buildings and we here at Province are in one of them.
When we took the lease on the shop we spent a month restoring the shop and shop front. We received the Silver Award in the Ipswich City Council Awards for Excellence – Heritage Conservation.
What a lovely way to start the week.

I can’t believe it is June already….I’m not sure I am ready for it to be the middle of the year?
Lots of you are loving Sid Dickens latest collection, understandably!
We have the most scrummy slippers in from Villa Maison, yes they are black (of course) and are snappy enough to wear out…say farewell to being caught out in your fluffy not intended for public viewing slippers. Lounge in stlyle!
Photo is of the chocolate, but I wanted you to see the detail in the satin rondel.

I think this is where I would like to lounge …what do you think?

In time for Easter the Spring Collection from Sid Dickens is beautiful with its soft romantic colours.
For a special gift or for your own collection these memory blocks are a must have.

After one oil dribble too many, (and a prompt from Jackie) I finally found a quaint oil bottle that is both aesthetically pleasing and purposeful!! At $25 the decision is easy as it allows for the ‘drizzle’ and the ‘pour’.
And don’t you love the MUD vase beside it, mmmm MUD.
Have a great week.

It is a Polish tradition to paint hollowed out chicken eggs every Easter. Called “Wydmuski”, meaning “blow-outs”, they are painted using various methods such as batik, paints and scratching the design onto a dyed surface.
The eggs are arranged in decorated baskets together with bread, salt and meat and are taken to church for blessing.
These eggs have been hand painted using porcelain and acrylic paints and features traditional Polish fok art designs.
Each come in a box surrounded with tissue paper making gorgeous, unique Easter gifts. RRP $25
